I started my coffee journey while living in Spain in the 1980s. I discovered great coffee that I never experienced in the U.S. After returning stateside, I realized that there were really no options for good Espresso in the retail environment. Espresso shops didn't even exist! I started with a small manual Espresso machine and purchased roasted coffee beans.
After the internet revolution (which I played a big part in ), I was finally able to source and purchase green beans. That's when my journey in roasting started. I began roasting with a small 250g Gene Cafe roaster, which I have used for many years to roast my own coffee. As time went by, many friends and family enjoyed my coffee and demand grew.
Recently, everyone has been encouraging me to offer my roasts to the public. So, I have now upgraded to a large capacity roaster, and I bring your my personal roasted Caturra Coffee online. This coffee is a single-origin coffee from a generations-long family farm in Jinoteca, Nicaragua. It's a great washed coffee that I roast medium, which brings out the citrusy flavors. I roast this coffee fresh to order.
I also have teamed up with a roastery in Oregon, which provides all of my Red Label coffee products on the website. You will not be disappointed in any of the selections.
